First Annual IMD U14 Summer Training Camp

Over 30 U14 IMD skiers came together for the first annual summer training camp in Soldier Hollow, UT this July.  With almost every IMD team represented, these young athletes had a chance to meet other teams, live in the beautiful Wasatch mountains and put in a week of fun filled-nordic specific training.

With a focus on introduction to roller skiing each day included a workout of roller-ski agility, technique or strength and the week ended in a capstone distance roller-ski in Park City. Other workouts included strength sessions, an all-day hike in the heart of the Wasatch mountains and on-foot games.

Downtime included meeting three time Olympian and 12 year veteran of the USST, Liz Stevens and getting to ask any and all questions about anything.  An intro to Biathlon with former Olympian Sara Studebaker-Hall and Soldier Hollow Biathlon Center head coach Zach Hall.  The camp got a full tour of the Center of Excellence US Ski Team training center and head quarters. And of course, swimming in lakes, getting ice cream and eating delicious food.

With such a success, IMD is looking forward to next years camp already!  Here are a few photos for the camp.
