Second Annual U14 Summer Training Camp

The second annual IMD U14 training camp happened in Soldier Hollow this past summer in July. It was another huge success with many in attendance and good times, hard training, and IMD bonding all around. The camp included roller skiing on the paved courses of Soldier Hollow, biathlon practice, mountain adventure running, swims in lakes, strength and conditioning and more. Here is a quick summary from Park City and Soldier Hollow athlete Emily Campbell:

β€œThe IMD U15 camp was an amazing experience and very inspiring. The camp was not only packed with great training but also full of team building and bonding. It was super great to get to meet kids from all over the IMD division. Not only will it be nice to see these people at races but hopefully we will eventually be able to race together on one team at Junior Nationals. In my opinion, the team building activities were super fun and really helped all of the athletes get to know each other. One of my favorite things was cooking together.  Cooking made it so that everyone felt included and had a good time. We also went to a lake after one of the workouts, we played games and we all got to become friends with one another. Then at night, we would all eat the dinner that we cooked together. It was so amazing to meet more people from the ski community, and I'm super excited to see them at races this season.”
